Are You Pondering What I'm Podering?
=============================
Elvis Preley.
He was the man that woman at that time would die for.
He had all the power to brainwash all his die-hard fans through his music and style.
Even after his death, his presence was always felt by his fans.
His sense of fashion is now being followed by people from all over the world.
And female fans at that time were devastated upon his death.
Eventhough his death was caused by the over dosage of drugs, these women, still wanted to die for him.
Can you just imagine having listen to the songs sang by your favourite artist this moment only to find out he's dead the next.

"Political Correctness - Being polite, or just plain dumb?"
==================================
Well, i think it all depends on who you are reffering to and where does it stand. I mean, whether it's important or not if the name has been changed. Whereas some people don't mind some words being changed.
One example that i don't understand untill now is that why the blacks are called african american or black americans? Does the skin color matters? I mean, if you are a american, then american it is. There's no need to differentiate between one another. This may just makes people feel bad. It's like you've offended them by saying that you are black! Isn't that rude.
Well, i think some political correctness are just redundant. I f the other concerned party is aggreeable to the terms that already existed, then there is no need to change the terms. For example, the 'deafs'. They wanted to be called deaf rather than hearing-impaired. It may be too you a more polite way of
addressing a deaf but are proud to be known as deafs. It's an insult, if you ask me.
What i can conclude is that the world of languages will still be the same with or without these political correctness terms.
Political correct terms
================
Well, i think there is no use in changing the form of the words as they are still refering to the same stuff. Let say 'air hostess', there's nothing wrong with it it, isn't it? I wonder why they decided to change it to 'air stewardess'. But then again, maybe they did not want to offend the male who are working as stewards.
I think terms are replaced as they do not want to offend people. Especially for special cases as in the way you describe someone who is less fortunate. 'Deaf' but for now they're called 'hearing-impaired'. But then again, my teacher, who works as an intrperter of the deaf community told me that the deaf are proud to be deaf and not liked to be called 'hearing-impaired'.
The last thung i wanted to say is that, it's not how much times you may change the terms of the words but it's the feelings of the people whom you are addressing is more important.

Terrorism at my doorstep
==================
I was in total shocked when the latest news of the JI suicide bombers. It's been a while since the destruction started. And now it has returned. The next issue is about the Marriot Hotel at Jakarta. There were in total four of
own people. Fortunately they are attended quickly and were sent to Singapore General Hospital (SGH) soon after the blast. It was stated that the suicide bomber had ran away in a van. It was a disaster for those who had lived through it. Singapore had offered help for the victims of the Jakarta blast. A few of them were sent to SGH. The unexpected incindent had made the people who were at the hotel to be in total shock. Some even had their bathrobes on and were running around on the streets. It may seems funny but people did it out of desperation. To end it of, i felt disgusted by the doings of the JI members. I just hope that this nightmare would end soon.

The recent sad news that i've heard was of the death of Iran twins, Ladan & Laleh Bijani. I'm shocked with their death as at the begining of the operation, everything went quite well. Until the doctors reported that they've lost quite a lot of blood. The twins died at a seperate time. I couldn't remember who died first. But they died at about an hour difference. They wanted so much to be seperated after 29 years of being stuck together. I send my condolences to their family.

The cats around us are endangered as people thought that these animals passes germs to one another. So the people actually killed them for their own safety in this society. But how many of these people would actually find the initiative to save them? Or how many of them would give suggestions but won't do them? On the contrary, people showing these initiatives in saving the cats are not the same people who shoes initiative in their own bussiness dealings.

The June holiday was a too short for me. It doesn't seem like a holiday at all! Most of the time i'm either at school or at home. If i was given another week, i'll make full use of it. Maybe spend sometime outside with my family. I 've tried occupying myself with homework or school work but nothing seems to be getting inside my head! All i can say is that i didn't have an enjoyable holiday...But on the other hand i do not wish to go back yo school so soon. It seems that i have not rested enough. Anyway it's better to have a few weeks of break than not to have any, right? I think i'll just rest while i can. So long, then...
